Race up one side, and back down the other, can you master the floor is lava course?

Have some friendly competition and have a go to see if you can complete the course, or challenge a friend. Great fun for older kids, and kids at heart. Younger kids could have fun jumping from 'rock' to 'rock' You could follow our suggested course or create your own, maybe incorporate the cyclops swings and tandem flying fox too!

The theme is inspired by the volcanic reef that shaped the harbour, wetlands and coastline of Te Tihi-o-Maru Timaru. It was formed over 2 million years ago, helping to shape the terrain of Kā Poupou-a-Rakihouia (the South Canterbury coastline) as it is today.
Lava once flowed from somewhere west of Claremont Wapouri (Mount Horrible) like fingers down a gentle sloping plain. The sea was probably nowhere near the erupting lava but has advanced occasionally, eroding the basalt and helping to form the current coastline.
As we all know, the reef is a big part of Timaru's geology, offering habitat and a construction material.
