Ready to go, members from the CPlay committee and Caroline Bay Association. CPlay were rapt with the opportunity to raise funds for the new Caroline Bay Playground, the first official fundraiser by the group of volunteers.

The fireworkds display for New Years Eve 2019/2020 had a technical error which saw a significant amount of fireworks left over. The Caroline Bay Association mooted to host and event for guy fawks night and put on a significant fireworks show. 

Association president Allen Martin said that in the lead up to the display, carnival rides will be switched on from about 5.30pm, with proceeds going to the playground fund while collectors for the project will also be roaming the area. “Rather than just blow smoke, what we’ll do is work in with the CPlay committee and use this as an opportunity for them to fundraise,” Martin said.

Owen Jackson from CPlay committee said they were really excited about the opportunity to raise funds, and had a team with collection buckets ready to go.

The fireworks will begin at 9.30pm.
